That actually looks like the Life-Like HO Recall, as it wasn't fully licensed by McDonalds.....I could be wrong.....But it resembles that kit, way to much!

It is the Life-Like HO scale building - This wasn't listed under Ho trains either - most would have never found this - i was browsing ho slot cars on ebay when i found it. It would not come up under any ho trains search i did

Again, it's an O-scale by Mikes Train House (MTH), or a similar product - it's been done at least a couple times by various O-scale makers.

Some nice items here, but not only priced a bit crazy, they're advertised as road & rails which is not correct.

If they actually were road and rail crossings, $75 for two on the card would not be unreasonable. I sold a couple of US-1 grey road and rail crossings, used, loose, seperately, for around $30 a shot a while back.

Really? I wanted to say to him, 'why cheat yourself out of all that money you can get, "cherry it out" right now and make some big bucks.' Some people.

Hi, GG-1 Guy.... I had a couple of each of these crossings on my childhood layout in the mid 70s. I've have a much larger layout in mind which is a partial 4 lane which will use 8 of each crossing... The extras are just incase the common "tab breaking" happens as I build it... I may also re-create my 70s layout with some of the extras... I have a load of the white lined Tyco slot track pieces, of all kinds...
Currently trying to bid on a long closed Big Bear store in town, to have space for my layouts and other hobbies... Just need a lot of room !!

LOL! Well none of mine!! ... of course!
But I an assure you I have not paid more than than $50 for any of mine! That guy was charging $12 for the shipping of that lil engine too boot! It should not have been more than $4-$6 to ship within the USA for either First Class or Priority respectively! Add that to the sale and that is ~$150!! Crazy!
I've seen them sell for ~$100 previously but that was back prior to the 2008 crash! Nothing over $50 since! So I sit on mine!

That's not stupidty. That's sales hype. Stupid would be believing the guy and paying $125.00.
"A few years ago, these went for $200.00" So what's his point? As far as I know you can't buy/sell things based on past value. Current market or maybe future market value, yes. I really don't think those particular units ever approached the $200 mark.
People like that want the implied information to run wild in your mind. If it was worth big bucks back then, maybe it'll be worth big bucks again. What a bargain!

Helm, Now THATS funny! I bet, I got 10 of those old "rare" Rivarossi Docksiders......in MUCH better shape then what that you picture here, and runs missing not a single part, and I don't think I have EVER paid over $5.00 for any one of them! AND to add to it, I bet his don't run.....I know at least 5 maybe 6 of mine, will run......4 of them, with the factory Rivarossi motors too!

Only Rivarossi docksiders worth money are the valve geared ones. The ugly one main rod with no valve guides aren't worth jack.

Hyde, Not really. Everyone of them, I got have the full valve gear known as the "Deluxe" model, and the one without valve gear was the "Simplified" version.....
The only difference between the 2, is the simplified model has the hole, to bolt the valve gear hanger to, BUT its not threaded for the screw!!

That one came up in my searches some time ago, and I had a good chuckle over it. That's a late 50's - early 60's unit, and I pick them up as parts locos at train shows in better shape than this poor bugger for under $10. There may not be one salvageable part on this, as the zamac has exploded and the motor is likely rusted solid. If there's any rust on those bearing surfaces, forget it.

Expensive? Check this out:
BUDDY L OUTDOOR R.R. PRESSED STEEL LOCOMOTIVE & TENDER

BIN: $1,750.00
http://www.ebay.com/itm/140993577710
I saw one of these Buddy L Pacifics at a train show, and they are pretty spectacular. Another seller has a repro set with a powered version of the loco.
BIN: $2,400.00
http://www.ebay.com/itm/221192365381
But even with $100 shipping, it's still not as pricey as Sean's Challenger. /tyco/forum/uploaded/NickelPlate759/icon_mi_4.gif

Nelson, WELL that second one that's listed for $2,400.00 comes with the cars so is a DEAL!
I know they used to fetch a pretty good price! I sold one about I think 6 years or so ago on ebay and it paid me $700! BUT I started the bid out at I think $50.00!

Thanks, Hyde. I think Sean said he's been offered a few grand for the Challenger, but that wasn't enough.
John, I agree the repro set seems like a good deal, assuming one has the scratch and the room.

Can't beLIEve that no one has bought this one yet ! Old Life Like Crane that I have always liked, but found it is so light weight that it doesn't stay on the track well. Yes, it is old...But I don't think it's gonna pull off the $30.00 sale... http://www.ebay.com/itm/350821613793?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649

EM-1... The orange NYC crane is not the most common but I don't believe it will bring the $30 sale. I think this seller looked thru the similar ebay items for his listing price. Here's another one listed at $35+. I too, have one of the common B&O cranes in it's original box.. Nice piece that I used as a side track display..

Walt, I figured as much.....Needless to say the B&O one is ungodly popular, I must pick them up I every old box of junk parts I find, or well seems like it, I've counted 15 of them, in parts or whole.....I myself, have 3 to make into usable items for the B&O, Western Maryland, and Chessie System, and I may even build one into CSX with the "steam" smoke stack removed on both the Chessie one and the CSX model!
Down the road tho! I have a brass Clam-shell bucket for one of them! BUT that may turn and go onto my powered Walthers "American Crane"......I just need to find more Clam-shell buckets at this point as it be an awesome detail for that little crane!

That's funny... I've only seen the NYC versions of those cranes. I got one for my birthday in 1975, but I've never seen a B&O.

Of course... it's one of those Fairbanks Moose locomotives... not a big seller, but a bit revolting on flavour!
