Nelson-
That clown with the 4-4-0 relisted his offer for the same price after the previous bid period expired. That has to be the definition of stupidity- doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result(in this guy's case, actually finding a fish that would buy it for the offered price!

With eBay fixed price you have the option of "Good Until Cancelled" and it just renews itself every 30 days.

I've seen a couple of Tyco trolleys in plastic boxes like that RCA loco. One had a made in Japan drive with the wheels correctly placed behind the sideframes. Does Tony have any info on these engines?

I don't follow pricing on Life-Like train cars but I beLIEve that this seller thinks that the end of the Hostess Twinkies has raised the demand & price of this car.
Recently, a company has bought the Twinkie cakes and will start new production in the near future. Don't know what company made this purchase but I'm certain that Microbusss will look it up & let you know...

On the other side of the coin, here's a pretty good haul for $500. If you were willing to re-sell piecemeal you could keep a few pieces you want and more than recoup your investment.

That is a lot more than I am willing to spend for that lot Nelson!
I kind of think it will take a long time to recoup the investment and there is little room for profit there.

I just bought five Bachmann Notherns, mint in the boxes, for $50. Three J's, an Overland and a Niagara. All newer than that CP in the yellow box.
I emailed the seller on that and pointed out you can get it brand new for $125 with DCC and an upgraded drive. I was told someone told her husband he should be able to get twice what they were asking out of it because it's rare.
Not in this lifetime.

I was looking at old listings and some folks got a Bachmann white box split-axle NYC Niagara up to $147 a while back.
Of course, mine at $40 goes off with no bids. Where are these crackheads when I need them?

AHM Casey Jones, with box. Aren't these the locos that have solid gold frames and axles. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-AHM-4-6-0-Casey-Jones-Steam-Locomotive-Tender-5151-I-C-HO-Scale-MIB-/190840779608?pt=Model_RR_Trains&hash=item2c6eff3358
The seller says he "can't brag on this set enough". That's obvious from the asking price.

An in-the-box Casey Jones went for $100 even about 2 months ago, and all it takes is a fluke auction like that to get sellers setting outrageous amounts as if it's the going rate.
The seller has too many complaints against him for my taste anyway.

Hey - just a reminder - posting of ebay links is not really good - why? - they expire and when others click on them in future - nothing is there - save the image or copy the wording would be better. not trying to bust any ones bubble - This was once brought up by NYC and several others years back. Yes -i am guilty as rest -but have been removing expired links from my posts

When I looked at that Casey Jones it was at $1250.00. I emailed and asked if his decimal point was off by a digit because it's a $100 engine at best.
