It seems like my searches are turning up more cheap stuff with ridiculous BIN prices over the past few weeks, some in really dicey shape. If people want to waste their listing fees, it's fine by me.

I've never claimed to be the world's best speller. But when an item is right in front of you with the correct spelling on it, how do you make this mistake? Read Title...
I quickly found this same spelling error in 3 other Tyco auctions tonight.

This guy is just pain dishonest!
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=350627512419
Not only is it not worth what he is asking, he is lying abut his item's condition:
This is the message I sent him:
"It is very obvious that the engine in the first three photos is not the same engine that is in the last photo. if you going to steal someone else's picture, at least you could have made it the engine with the same road #. Yours is rusty, dirty and numbered 840 and the one in the last picture is numbered 844. Really quite dishonest on your part, especially since you make no reference to it in your listing. "
What a sheister!

Sean, did he change the pictures? He has 3 flatbed scans of a RR FEF-3 that was clearly in a flood, and a picture of the instructions. Claiming it's in running condition is laughable, but it would certainly be worth something as a parts loco.
It's a shame, because that was the last run of those units with better wheels & running gear and a DCC plug.

Would be a nice 4-8-4 if it were cleaned up and running, hell, the cab is even broke! The over hang of the cab roof is gone! That alone for the FEF-3 is a costly replacement!
Rust? Says alot, I BET it doesn't run!

The use of the word "offending" makes me completely distrust this sellers intentions.
It is obvious from the photos/scans that the item is not as described. That is what offends me.

This listing really worries me http://www.ebay.com/itm/Bachmann-HO-Spectrum-DTD-81706-SAL-514-2-10-0-Steam-Engine-Seaboard-/150928789416?pt=Model_RR_Trains&hash=item23240e8fa8 I'd bet on everything that it's a scam because these picture angles and the amount of detailed pictures taken is the way that Dans Train Depot or on ebay DTD, sells! So it looks like he just took pictures of the pictures that DTD listed of the engine and is trying to pawn them off as his own. Look up some of Dans Train Depots items and you'll see what I mean.

hi SCVR66,been dealing with dan for years, and this guys photos are not of the same quality,he also has 100% feedback so feel its most likely genuine, when people advertise new items they do some times however borrow photos,as they do not want to remove from boxes or they may not have time to take new ones, they are called stock photos, ken

Walt, how is that dumb? An 899 volt Tyco power pack with a transparent case? What a rarity!
I've been watching this beauty for weeks: http://www.ebay.com/itm/230850855905
A cheap loco at its best best caked in red and black paint, and the axles, gears and cover are missing from the power truck? Oh, I forgot... it's vintage.
And this one's been up for most of the year: http://www.ebay.com/itm/250817717973
It's the real thing.

Hey John, hate to break it to you, but that's an RS-11. It was old by Life-Like with the single power truck, and then I think made it into the Model Power line as a dual drive unit. I guess IHC also sold it as part of the Coke set.
A Coke & Mentos powered loco? Who wants to be the first to try it?

I have seen the SD24 in Cocoa-Cola paint tho! It was done for my old home towns "Shop & Save"!!!!!They also had a GG-1 done in Cocoa-Cola there too back in the 1990's! (I can't remember the actual year I seen it (never bought one!) Should have tho........ they were only $79.99! And that was a TRAIN SET for that price!

Can someone, anyone please explain to my why anyone would have that many of the same exact shell? I couldn't get myself to have that many of any one thing, all exactly the same. The only thing I may ever come close to it with is Dockside locomotives. I mean, I've got parts of 4 of them, which is as many as the prototype!
For $250, I don't think I need that many shells either. You could model every GP18 ever made by repainting those in every conceivable roadname!
