I saw it in the first hour but just couldn't force myself to plunk down $50 plus $10 shipping. I like it, but not that well...

You know, since I’m a fan of not letting people get things for a total steal I’m going to go ahead and link these auctions I’ve found.
Plus, it’ll be fun to finally get a price on some items in my collection.
And when I say “my collection” it just means I own examples of these. The items for sale are not mine. Just letting some of you collectors know about these rare little birds for sale!
Tyco Alco 430 Santa Fe Blue Bonnet: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Toy-Train-New-1977-Tyco-Toy-Train-HO-Train-Sante-Fe-4301-Power-Torque/113929430335
Tyco Alco 430 Grand Trunk: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Toy-Train-New-1977-Tyco-Toy-Train-HO-Train-GT-4301-Power-Torque/163911670874
And a slightly less rare, but still pretty cool to find MIB, a Tyco Milwaukee Road E7: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Toy-Train-New-1977-Tyco-Toy-Train-HO-Train-The-Milwaukee-Road-1120/163911683698?hash=item2629e5ce72:g:zOsAAOSwFQVdq0PK
And again, not quite as well but rather cool Tyco New Haven GG1: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Toy-Train-New-1977-Tyco-Toy-Train-HO-Train-NH-6611-Adjustable-Pantograph/113929446104?hash=item1a86b962d8:g:LrYAAOSwUf9dq0R4

Edited post.
I did this all on mobile last night. The links were broken now they work.
This guy has some good NOS stuff. Definitely worth a look, especially for those of you trying to snag that rare GT Alco 430!
And again, full disclosure, I am not associated with this seller in any way. Just a man who likes to watch auctions go crazy.

Interesting post, and the Blue Bonnet went for a cracking $75. The Grand Trunk is definitely drool worthy.

Tyco ICG Alco 630 with rivarossi drive in a train lot for sale

WOW!
The Grand Trunk went for $52. Way less than what I was expecting! (I didn't buy it unfortunately)
And that Blue Bonnet! Man, whoever bought that...was probably a devilishly handsome young fellow AND I would hedge my bets that he has 2 others mint in the box!
Just a guess though.

Looks like somebody took two rivarossi docksides and bashed them into an articulated logger! They seem to have done a good job hiding the seam between the two shells, because I cant see it!
It also looks like they used an 1880s tender truck to make the front pilot, interesting!
Item # 153698042553

Also an example of some crazy kitbashing!

Labor of love. Can't see any evidence of a seam either. Looks like front driver set is having issues.

While looking for HO spark arrestors for Blax's job, came across this drool worthy Varney, bidding is still on. May take a jab at it myself, like I need another %@$# locomotive. Can't run all the ones I got now.

Oh, the other thingy. What about HO scale chain link mesh?
Lot of 3 TYCO HO Scale Tropicana Cars - Piggyback w/2 Trailers & 2 Box Cars
BTW, anyone remember that low bid auction on the Tropicana? Guess who ended up with it. I got sucked into a bidding war, then backed off around 60 clams, after being outbid. Then shortly before the auction ended the high bidder withdrew, left me holding the bag. Of oranges. Proud blockhead Daddy will post on SOTW.

Yes, Ben... Those are much more presentable! I noticed this set on ebay. I don't recall seeing the Dentyne box car before. If I did, I would have never thought it was a Tyco piece. It doesn't look like a Tyco box car... Anyone know more about this? https://www.ebay.com/itm/HO-CHRISTMAS-TREE-PRESENT-TYCO-ICG-ELECTRIC-TRAIN-SET-w-POWER-LOC-TRACK-HO-HO-HO/174104107097?

quote: Right off the bat, that caboose looks like a Life Like caboose. I'm pretty sure Tyco never made a caboose like that. The only caboose they made during that era was the one that everyone knows and love; that streamlined caboose. So, that set is probably just a bunch of stuff from a bunch of different brands from back in the 70's and 80's thrown in there. Seems like a neat little set, though, just most of it probably doesn't originate from Tyco.

Well, Ben. I found the Dentyne box car in Model Power. I believe the set on ebay is a set that someone has added the Dentyne car to. Plus the set has the locking track that was not available from Tyco. ...

That Tyco Aerotrain with no reserve finished out at $203.50. It was some mad bidding at the end. The seller listed it as excellent, but went on to say the motor wasn't working.

Interesting custom Tyco Shark shells. The first is definitely a former A-Team shark, while the 2nd (SCL) shell is hand-painted & decaled quite well.

Crazy thing about this auction. I didn't bid on it!! I Passed the slippery slope test! Old Tyco fluorescent lights 4 packs. I don't often bid on these older blue packs as I have found some that wouldn't light up. Plus I have approximately 80 extra working poles for replacements... Nice sale price on them! https://www.ebay.com/p/17020294696?iid=383307368752

I thought the brakeman was a cute idea on this piece. Priced just a bit high but it caught my eye... https://www.ebay.com/itm/Tyco-Flatcar-GN90806-Piggyback-2-Santa-Fe-40-Trailers-w-RR-Brakeman-RARE-HO/123999726756?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649

I had a regular box packed but the postal worker said it was cheaper to send all in a Priority box & it was about $10 or so cheaper! So we repacked it in a Priority box!

I use Priority Mail almost all the time unless I'm sending something very small that will fit in an envelope...

An E-b auction for a HObbyline Erie large passenger set, no original box. Just the cars. E-Bay # 293383388717
HO SCALE HOBBYLINE ERIE 6 CAR SET 1 A POWERED LOCO & 1 DUMMY 4 PASS cars. Seller lists condition as USED.
https://www.ebay.com/itm/HO-SCALE-1-87-HOBBYLINE-ERIE-6-CAR-SET-1-A-POWERED-LOCO-1-DUMMY-4-PASS-USED/293383388717?hash=item444f033e2d:g:QMsAAOSwDYNd-pVy
Buy $100. Bid start $75. Shipping $12.50. + TAX HObbyline Erie train set, Set #451, “The Lake Cities Express”. Consist: twin Alco FA-1’s, 1- combine, 3 day coaches. I would call it a Erie Limited paint scheme. Seller lists it as used.
*I would say; Used with scraping and scuffing, and Damaged, with missing parts, not running. the nose wasn't correctly painted. NOT IN ORIGINAL BOX. *Visible damage; *Dummy FA-1 has been dropped. Front pilot is broken with a missing pilot piece of plastic. it was repainted over the winged nose art covering it with a lighter green then it was originally. Front coupling missing. Because of this the two diesels cannot run together. Something is taped to the bottom. I won’t guess what it is. The diesel is missing its 4 small ladders, front and rear. *Powered FA-1 has its 4 small ladders missing also, along with one of its couplers. *This diesel has no reference to being serviced, or track tested, so cannot say it will run. * Passenger cars; Three of the 4 are missing broken off enclosed vestibule steps. On the combine one of the axels is out of a truck frame. I can’t determine from the photos provided if it can be replaced. I don’t know if it can be gotten to run with what is there. This set can be repaired and restored if you can find the missing parts, plastic, glue, and matching paints. This drive is from around 1954, This set is about 66 years old. frank

This is actually a pretty good price....and this hard-to-find Tyco C430 has pre-installed handrails. https://www.ebay.com/itm/TYCO-Alco-Santa-Fe-4301-NEW-in-Box/202860184399?hash=item2f3b68c34f:g:sIkAAOSwkkxd~g0J
