Nope was a brown box as well as red My rebuilt uses the earlier motor

GN went to that scheme about the same time Tyco went to brown boxes. But the shell also changes, I didn't look at it that close to see which it was.

I got mine a few years ago for $5 from Walthers. I built mine up to look like the FSM Rollin Sawyer kit. That is what it appears to be based on anyway.

I have that same crane here in the box. Key is missing, looks like the end is busted off in one of the slots, otherwise mint. If someone waved $10 at me it would be gone. I've had junkers and can't even give them away for three bucks, there's one in my loose HO tray now and the last guy to show any interest wanted to pay $3 for the crane AND boom tender.
Guy has a listing for six $5-$10 Plasticville pieces, same insane $539 price.

accent identifying himself as "Officer Quinn" of the
IRS and for a small payment the IRS would drop
its lawsuit against me. After I finished with him,
he isn't calling back anymore.

Don't be so sure of that. These scam artists seem to rotate through all the phone numbers there are on an autodialer. If you had a button on your phone that could inflict excruciating pain on him, I think he'd still call back. I do wish I had that button though.
