I know many of you don't like Ebay but I would "almost" like to have an HO scale ebay box car. However with my layout favoring the 70s to early 80s, the ebay car would have no place on my tabletop. Ebay is like to my present day layout like Woolworth's was to my 70s set up. I may custom make myself one someday, but it's certainly not at the top of my list of train what to do's...

Very nice auction here! All 8 Center Street kits. But the price of $28.25 a kit is a bit much... Let alone the Buy It Now price of $37.25 a kit...

I got one a couple years ago as a used boxed set for $60 + $15 shipping. So $50 would be a decent offer I think.

Not a word, as yet. I'm not even a Santa Fe buff, but
that red swath and the classic war bonnet got me
drooling. If I land this deal, I will take out an extra
F7 shell, as previously threatened, and toast it in
the Southwest sun and see if it turns that delicious
pink that Zelda, et al tell me it might turn. Or it
might just melt.

This Slippery Slope thing is really quite, ahem, interesting.
At the rate I'm going I would probably bid on a cow patty
if it was stamped "TYCO." That is if Microbusss didn't
get it first.

Yep, if I had three bills to throw around like hash, I'd
buy that @%$#@ thing.

in Ebay listing fee's as I was trying to auction off Diane's model train estate.
Sounds auspicious.
