Arrived Monday. Tyco Western Pacific GP20 with box, # 228 33. It looks perfect. I think the first one I saw was in the Tyco Collectors Resource Site and then when GiC posted his somewhere in the forum.

Mine came from a box of trains found in a barn hay loft...

I rearranged the wheels so that I could have some better pickup...

Here are my two switchers, a Mantua Davenport and Tyco switcher.

I plan to permenantly couple them together, with the Mantua being powered and the Tyco only providing electrical pickup. Not too sure what road to paint them in...I may even do them up in VIA colours!

| Matt check out the latest Model Railroader (November issue). There is a quick little write up on how to wire up two switchers together. And make it so you can take them back apart again!

Ya, I think they have only two or three...all EMD SW1000's, and they are all located in Montreal for switching passenger cars around. Well, either Montreal or Quebec City, I'm not sure which one exactly!

Since switchers became the unofficial theme this week, I'll post mine at work again. I just like the pictures.

Somewhere I have the vintage Republic and USS Steel versions too. I *REALLY* like these little buggers - they have more styling and design into them than most locos three times their size. Like a GP30 in spirit. At any rate, I hope to expand my collection... if anyone has any junkers to part with, the STC shops will give them some TLC and a good home :)

Here are the *junkers* GIC! I'm not ready to part with them, yet though. Cruise on over to the original thread for some close-ups. http://www.tycoforums.com/tyco/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=7327 /tyco/forum/uploaded/tkrr/154_5408.jpg

And just to clarify: The ones I posted are indeed all factory-painted originals, although I've since been told on good authority that the Ford one especially may as well not exist. I should have put the handrails on first too, blast it all.

I thought I responded to this before. They are really excellent examples and I may look for some at the next show.
