I never knew Tyco offered their Ten Wheeler as the Hooterville Cannonball. Has anyone ever seen one of these?

Oops, I never saw your post. I guess I should have done a search.
Any idea what CF&W stands for? As I recall no railroad name was mentioned in the show.

2 guesses made 1 by other (chicago far west),and 1 by me (cannot find where),and there are others but i do not know for certain ken http://petticoat.topcities.com/page1.htm http://www.tycoforums.com/tyco/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=2453&SearchTerms=petticoat+junction
quote from above link (It has been speculated that the initials are a writers' tribute to the Cannonball trainmen, as in the "Charley & Floyd Western", or some such thing (ironically, the final Cannonball engineer, in seasons 6 & 7, was named Wendell, but it is unlikely that the writers were precognitive enough to intentionally add his initial). Yet another theory is that it is a geographical reference, a la "Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe," in this case, perhaps "Chicago & Fort Worth.")

I have never purchased anything off him before, maybe it was his too brief descriptions,or the one crappy photo that turned my interest away. Sorry to hear you were taken by this clown.

I was taken by that seller also. I paid for a Tyco Anniversary car which he would not deliver or answer my emails about until I had complained to ebay. That got his attention to verbally abuse me by email and still not deliver the car I had paid for. To top it off he waited awhile and them relisted the car.
A common thief!

Hey Guys:
You've done a real service noting this sellers behaivour.
Someone should make a note in the Ebay section under the bad buyers "Sticky"!
Noticed Ken and NYC had posted notes on:
mwinternetauctionsonmain in the Ebay Non-Recommended sellers sticky! Thanks guys.
Newbies to the TCF, good idea to peruse the Ebay non-recommended sellers!

That seller's items keep turning up in my searches, and I've never trusted him. I think it has something to do with that filthy wall he uses as a backdrop -- if he goes to those kinds of lengths to make his photos look good, imagine how far he'll go for you. It doesn't surprise me to hear that he's trouble.
The starting bid is way too high anyhoo.
Nice set, Vintage. What's the value of one in condition like that (and have you ever dared to run it)?

quote: Holy smokey bear, that's outrageously crazy! On top of that, it appears they have pictures in the box with the TV show characters promoting the actual product as you open the box.
