Cold and rainy here in Ohio today so I spent a little time and got all 4 drawers installed. I have to get some paint on them now... Quite a bit of extra storage space here... Now have to clean up my mess...

| Done some fine tuning on the drawers today and have them working well. I put a small slide lock on the hinged drawer to keep it closed when not in use. Will start painting on them soon. I haven't decided what all I am going to store in them yet. They measure on the inside at 30 X14. Three of the four will be for storage...

While loading one drawer with lighted items I found these old Life-Like billboards. I have many but these are just nice looking pieces... Another drawer has been loaded with about 50 train cars, 23 of them are still in their boxes... The bottom drawer is still empty...

Adding 6 inches to this side of the 20 foot stretch. Have started cutting the frame pieces that will support this. Going to add 2 or 3 more 20 foot long tracks to display my extra cars on...

I do like it, also. The clatter of wheel on rail and the micro squeak of flanges is delightful, particularly in Tyco. The video is short, sweet, and is reflective of old movie trailers about railroads and progress, and so forth. Much enjoyed.
Hey, when we going to get to see some of you slots in action?
Also, I am waiting to see what you do on that farm.
Myself, I am dragging myself over the finish line on my British canal lock, it's just been stop and go, and revise, revise.

Thank You, Jeff... I too, like the clatter over the crossings that the train cars make.
I don't spend much time with the hobby table as I should. I'm usually in my garage working on a car or a part from one. As for the farm area, I have actually cluttered this 8 square foot with other train related items of all kinds. I have so many train cars, trees, and pieces everywhere on the table that it looks like a tornado has hit Tycoville…
As for the slot car track. It has sat idol soo long that I will have to clean the contact rails so they will run well. My least favorite time is here when the temperatures are cooler and winter closing in quickly. Maybe soon I will be trapped inside and can spend some time in the basement.
I have very late night assembled the second set of drawers with the top hinged drawer for the power packs. I have also made some of the frame work of the 20 foot long, 6 inch addition on the one side. I have quite a few extra train cars that I want to display on the table where they can be seen. I don't want them stuffed away in a drawer.

That's a great video. I like both trains, but especially the grain hoppers. And I like the clatter on the crossing too.

Thank You, Thomas... Here is this mornings pic of the additions of the table framework where I am adding 6 inches to the one 20 foot side... I have 2, ten foot 2x4's to place on the ends of these short 4-1/2 inch studs...

That cross over looks really neat. But will the fifty footers tolerate it? Does it make sense to widen the length between turnouts?

Yes, Richard I had to add 10 more square feet to the one side. I have approximately 50 more train cars in a drawer that I want to display for people to see... In my mind I feel like all of these older pieces need to be on display... :)
Thank You, RP ! :)

A couple of pics to show the extra room for the tracks. There is room for 3 tracks. But I believe that I will only add 2. That leaves me with a 2-5/8 inch space from the edge of the board. 40 feet of extra track for displaying the rolling stock that's still in my drawers, or boxes.

A section of my layout that measures 21 X 39 inches that has had no detail added. I really hope to make time during this winter to get some of these areas detailed... Buildings here are the Life-Like Convenience (A&P), the Tyco Factory, Baskin Robbins and McDonalds. The EXXON was my BOTW this week...

Bought 2 more flat cars today for the trailers that I have. One has the brake wheel on it. I believe I still need 3 flats to hold the remaining loose trailers that are in a clear freezer bag...
