Today I opened a lot of piggyback cars. Some of them I don't think had ever been out of the box. Three shown here still had the brake wheel in the box where Tyco placed them. It was kind of sad to remove them after all this time... But how impressive they were!

On Tuesday, I purchased on ebay the crossing controller that works with an invisible light beam. This one picks up any movement or stopped trains within a 20 inch area or less, set up by the user. This piece should be a really neat addition to make my crossing signals blink using any of the 3 tracks at the crossing... Kind of like having a motion detector... I've been thinking about moving some buildings around. I don't think there is room for all 3 parking lots in this area. I do like having the many buildings right down the mail street here though...

WANTED TO ENLARGE my layout just a little. I have 40-50 train cars that I want to be displayed on my table. OPINIONS...
I was thinking adding 6 inches to the 20 foot side. I can get 3 tracks there approximately 20 feet long. But I really only need two tracks for enough room.
I can enlarge 4 inches INSTEAD of six, to get two tracks down.
OR, do I do the six inches and only put two tracks down, leaving two plus inches of space to keep anything from being knocked off onto the floor?

The six inch expander sounds like a whale of a lot of work, and
would it sag over time? Would it make sense to reduce the
lateral inside tracks by a foot, or nine inches, to make room
for third tracK?

My US-1 dump truck was in today’s mail and it’s a really nice one. Runs strong. My phone is not letting me transfer photos to the train forum, not sure why.. I ordered the 9 volt battery attachment with 6 inch wires that should be here tomorrow...

| I got the 9 volt battery cap with wires today and spent 10 minutes soldering them on. I now have a slot truck that runs on 9 volt battery but does wheelies out of the slot.😂. I need to locate a reasonable weight for the front of the truck...
