Yes, I find Tyco and the like very therapeutic. It simply gets my mind of things that I can't do a damn thing about and then I have created something that is, well, a creation.

Last night, I actually spent a few minutes clearing off the 8 square foot area where my farm will be. That corner gets cluttered since it's near the entrance of the basement.

Look forward to seeing your farm addition, Walt. FMI, is that a Tyco 4-slot track?

| Thank You, Brian... The slot car track is all old style Tyco made between1963 and 1977. The white painted detail come on the earlier pieces. It's two pieces laid side to side to make a 4 lane. It's not very popular track because the small connecting tabs on the ends commonly broke off. I used only good pieces and have plenty of replacements if needed. I have always favored old style because of the ability to double up the rail crossings and intersections...

| Been slow getting interest in my layout since my wife passed. I went down last week and turned it on. NONE of my lights would come on. I fooled around a while with no progress. A few days later I took a light pole and hooked it up right at the transformer and it worked. But the first set of light closest to the power box would come on. I narrowed it down to the "Banana Clips" the are required for the power box. They had corroded and were not passing current through them.. I need to buy a pair soon....

Was looking at that multiple track and multiple lane crossing and not remembering having seen such a thing, and then looked back to the comment about how closely one version of the track can fit together. Hmm ... thinking thoughts you have likely already thought, would it be something you would want to do to somehow name the new farm for your wife? Or the signal tower?

Thank You!, RP... Yes RealBnsf, I have a bunch of them. There is 86 in that photo that covers the 4 lane slot car area. I actually now have 106 working , some buildings lighted, other types of pole lights, billboards etc... I have about 300 lights in all but wont use that many. I still keep buying the Tyco Fluorescent poles. Many extras incase one gets struck by a slot car crash etc...

What I was saying Microben is, That in my opinion, The LED lights are to bright for realism in HO scale. If my 86 freeway lights were LED it would look like daylight (fake) instead of night. In real, street lights do not make things look like its daytime.
As for my overhead shop light(s), I want them to be bright because when I want night time I simply turn them off. I know they can be bought reasonably... but I don't want them. I know they operate cheaply, but operating costs on my layout are not a factor either... I hope that all makes sense...

Thank You, guys... Redwoods, the curbs are done as shown in the photo. I cut 11/32 plywood to fit as nicely as possible then sand and use plastic wood until it is all correct. Then add the yellow paint... Once the wood working is done I can screw it down inside the slot car track opening... RP, The dumpsters are available ,they are little kits that you build and paint... Having fun with getting the new photos to post...
