OTT, I guess I haven't tried hard enough to get a running RF 16 lash-up but your's is sure neat. Kudos on the "under the tree" layout.

Individually they seem to be. They're pretty hefty, so I think they'll do real well as team once I get decoders into them.

Hi All,
Just thought I would post another picture I dug up from a while back. These are Tyco Fs. A co-worker gave these to me years ago.
Hope you enjoy.

Got a few consist ideas but I'll start with this one...
A trio of magnificent sharks pulling a cage ;)
The R&D prototype / catalog unit leads its production version, along with one somebody upgraded to an MU-2.
What I really need is the set of North Coast Limited passenger cars that would match these...

2 of 4 tyco alcos that my dad owned that he gave me. 3 were spirit of 76 units 1 was a chessie, 1 spirit of 76 unit ran perfect, 1 i stripped for parts, and another one i started to rebuilt. The 2 units you see here are the 2 remaining 1776 alcos, the one of the left i finally got running after more than 30 years of storage in a box with the rest of his old ho stuff. He gave it all to me in 2007. Its taken nearly 4 years to get the older 1776 unit to even show a sign of running, a few months ago i fixed some wiring, and lubed her up and finally got her to run for the first time since the 1970s. Today she needs new couplers and new rear wheels cause the old ones have cracks, good thing i stripped an old 1776 for parts so i have spares of everything, the one on the right runs perfect with no issues. I'm just trying to find time to install couplers and finish work on the older 1776 on the left. Sometime this year i will run these 2 together with a train.

Typically I'd post Tycos and from the same roads with mergers included but I believe, without checking, these are from the same production era.

and a sd40-2. i can't decide if i should weather it or not. what do you think?

Here come the Geeps! And about 30 other trains in the first picture lol.
All 3 of them came in a box of mostly AHM stuff my friend bought awhile ago. Two of them are is pretty good health. The 3rd isn't quite as fast as the other two. I don't think the 3 of them have much track time at all. However from sitting, one of them put on a impressive smoke show. Made for a nice effect with the shell still on haha.
Two of them might get repainted down the road, not 100% sure what they will become. But we've talked about doing one in NYC and another in PRR. Which is fun because I don't think either road had GP-18's hehe.

Smokie, Thanks. The GN is a custom paint job I did, meant to look like the color scheme that Tyco did on a 430 Alco, since I haven't been able to win one.

A new consist Tyco, Mantua, and Tyco manufactured. I think I read UP and WP were part of a merger with SoPac, DRG&W, The Katy, WPac and Missouri Pacific.
Thanks for the video OGhoul. Nice models and weathering Smokie.

I'ma Western Maryland modeler as well as the B&O, if you don't mind me asking, who made that Western Maryland gray hopper? Athearn? I've got one, BUT, more the reason for the post is, I have another one thats Western Maryland in gray with black lettering, BUT I'm not sure of the maker! Nice model, BUT, I know its old......So I'm trying to figure out the maker of it.

Sorry about that Alco! I knew a guy that ALWAYS went by Alco, and you sort of remind me of him and I simply wondered if you were him!
As for the WM hopper, THANKS! I took mine out, and the one I have, doesn't have a roadnumber on it! It looks like the Athearn one, BUT underside of it has "dimples" where the 2 closest wheelsets would rub if it didn't, and they are factory like that, I wonder if its not an MDC Roundhouse model.....Thing is, I don't know exactly as there is no markings on it!

Another consist for those fans of the BN. The middle one and the end unit respectively are an early Gen I Powertorque set-up and the last a nonpowered with the lead engine is a Gen II PT.
