Post your nice interesting lash-ups here too even if it's the same locos or roads. I've been trying to see what Tyco/Mantua lash-ups I can find as in same roads or mergers. I thought maybe people would post their's as well. I like to set these next to each other on the shelf and had never taken a pic of them together.

Justin, I forgot I had the 630 until sometime after I posted this. I've never even been close to having a 4 6 2.
Busss you're right I forgot about Tony's pic, though this is the follow up post to the CR, PRR, and PC Alco lash-up I posted a while back.

The Chessie 4-6-2 was released in the late 70's and was in Mantua's "blue box " line-up during the 80's. Its a rare piece. I got mine for $35! Hardly ran if ever at all! I had in LOTW.

Heh, just to clarify, my real name might by Tony... but I'm not Tony Cook, nor am I directly affiliated with the HO Resource sites (though I have contributed quite a bit). Which is why I usually sign with "Tony L." That fact that two self-professed Tyco addicts are named Tony is nothing but a wierd, amusing coincidence.

These are the only Tyco VGNs I can find. There was a picture of the Tyco 1435 VGN Alco but don't know if it still exists. Thanks for the other fine lash-ups to date.

I'm gonna throw in my other BN's with my Tyco units. I had to double-track them due to lengths.
As you can see, I have an eclectic collection of engines. The Hustler, the red Burlington GP and the E8 are Tyco, the rest are various makes. C415 is probably IHC, the 9452 is a Cox, and other says Made in Hong Kong, maybe Atlas. I'm sure I have more BN engines, but this is what I could lay my hands on at the moment.

Hi All,
Here is my lash-up of Santa Fe FA-2s by ROCO. Not a great picture, but it was the best of the batch that I took. You all have some nice lash-ups going.
Hope to see more.

I did a little reading about Cox and their affiliation with TYCO... COX sold their train sets with TYCO engines/rolling stock... if I have read that correctly.

This was in the first lash-up posted in the original thread, I hate that term thread, so I moved it here. I could have and may shoot another pic with an NH Alco because of the mergers. The term "lash-up" was used first in the late 1800s but I'm not sure if it was for RR use or not, and one definition is a temporary connection of equipment. The CR and PRR Alcos are customs as if done by Tyco/Mantua
The lash-ups posted are appreciated.

I thought I'd start with Burlington Northern/BNSF, since my BN C628 was my first "big diesel" when I was a kid:
'F' means front, right?
And a group shot:
For reference, that's the "standard" 32x54 oval that comes in a Walthers set.
The GP9M's are Walthers Trainline, the C628 is old 80's Life-Like, the GP38AC's are Atlas Master Series Gold (with QSI Quantum decoders) and the C630's are Bowser. Which btw, the 630's can't negotiate 18" radius curves; the trucks are at full lock, and that's with using long-shank Kadee's.

Yes it does. The Southern always ran long-hood forward. Was reminiscent of steam locos, and I've also heard it was the preferred way to tag stray coal trucks, which were often a concern. Kinda makes sense when you think about it...

Tony, they also ran the engines long hood foward so if ya got in a wreck head-on with something, the hood would asorb most of the impact. The tall short hood would literally collaspe and there fore crushing the cab and anybody in it!

Tyco RF-16 ABA heading streamliners (you may have seen this image before)
This Xmas with more rolling stock I just add more driven axles; call out the Little Six to get up and over.

Totally forgot to mention the GP30s; they're both Walthers P2K, the N&W has a QSI Quantum and the NS is dc. For now.
