Got up to the Carlisle show a little later than expected, and had to sit in some rush-hour traffic, but not too bad. Got in the Gate about 8:45, and wound our way thru the car corral part first. After that, made our way down some rows, and found some used tools, diecast cars, model trains, and other item of interest to me. One vendor later in the day I passed had a Buddy L steam engine, marked $900.00. Also had some Tinplate AF sets for $400 +. Nothing I could afford there! Did find a diecast vendor later on, he also had some HO trains, I bought a B&O passenger car, maybe AHM or Athearn, $10. I think that was my only train purchase of the day. No , wait, I DID find and buy one of those pink and blue Tyco Shop buildings for $5, guy had a booth full of slot cars and sets, and up high on a shelf, this lone Tyco building. he said he had more buildings but didn't bring them. I took this one home.
Found some vintage diecasts to use with my HO,like Yatming, Playart, Marx, Tomica, and others. Found a Matchbox all-metal car carrier , and a couple other carriers, too. Overall, I bought more diecast cars than trains, but only because there wasn't as much train selection. Oh well, had a great time, weather was overcast and cool, perfect for wandering around a big kid's outdoor toy store. My feet are a'hurtin', but other than that, I feel pretty good about today's acquisitions. I'll post pics later. All for now,

Jerry
