Hello just picked up another 2-8-0 chattanooga. It was mint in box,however when i run it certain times the front wheels lock up. I checked to see if the side rods are bent and look fine. Im dumbfounded on this as it doesnt do it all the time .... any ideas?

I have a Royal Blue 2-8-0 that does that sometimes and it is mint - I olied the drivers which helped - the more it its ran - it should stop. There is no binding or bent drivers on mine either.

i have a few of the 0-8-0 engines & when i see one locking up, it is usualy the smoke unit rods that is causing it. oil it & see what happens.
