I had to toss down on offer, as little as I need more stuff.
What fascinates me is the completely anachronistic
compilation of television and a steam locomotive,
though your piece is much more interesting, by itself, Walt.
It brings back memories when a color TV was da bomb, and
they weighed like 75 pounds. I didn't a color TV until
1985.

Well, Walt, thank you for laying the curse on me again. I was so intrigued by this odd mismatch of 20th century technology coupled to a 1920's
steamer, I wrangled with the seller and got the set for $45 (talking about
the Zenith car). Yeah, it would have been nicer to have got the tri color
Zenith car, but it is a rather interesting bit of oddness, and I do like odd.
Will post it later in SOTW, as I have not even opened the shipping
box yet! The garage is in a shambles while putting in some new
shelves, with the idea that I could more neatly and safely store
my Tyco treasures- only to find that the new shelves would only
accommodate but half of the stuff I've got, so waiting to put
in more shelves. And this little collection started out as a
Tyco Pipe Loader that was given to me by Crusty as a joke.
Hah. Hah. Joke is on me.

Having sworn off any more Tyco locomotives, particularly those with
PT motors, I had to bid on this, but got swatted down everytime.
Somebody out there put a high max bid on this piece. I have a
friend, who's Dad was a big NP fan; passed away a very few years
ago, and I was going to try to grab it to run in his memory. I must
be bidding up against Bill Gates!
I am greatly looking forward to your two freight cars, RP, as I
really like that odd ball yellow IT gondola and I have plans
for that empty pulp wood car...

Yeah, it's funny how that works. I abide by the 7 second rule whenever bidding; as soon as the clock ticks down to 7 seconds, I enter my max bid. Most times, this strategy is successful - even if other contenders scramble in the final seconds.
