The True Value flat car has been listed for months now. I bought two True Value flats a few months ago, one for $40 & the other was $41 and change... and that was insanity on my part....

That's a good deal, which is why I just submitted an offer of .99 to the seller. Seriously. I want to see what, if any, the response is. Other than outright rejection. Heh heh.

Well,I DID submit the offer, and it was rejected, with no explanation. I even visited his other auctions, which all seemed reasonable on pricing, except this one. Maybe the tracks are gold, not brass?

i was about to start a post on this subject. I just got a Tyco- 4-6-2 with tender and box and I paid a total of $26 with shipping. A great deal IMO. I just saw the same loco, same condition with box for $120 plus shipping. I was nearly floored when I saw the listing!!! Good for me I guess. Got it today and it immediately went in for a tune up. I will post a photo later.

Hey Guys:
Thats seriously misleading. At least a couple of those units in "Atlas" boxes are not. The problem there is Atlas stuff is quite rightly held in high regard and this his pics are misleading.... I'm not aware of any 0-6-0 shifter they ever made.... the RS-3? below it certainly doesn't belong in that box though they did make an RS3....

Here is another bargain at a mere $178.20:

/tyco/forum/uploaded/Mustangs_n_Trains/20111209224849_tyco.JPG
I wonder why not just $180. Does the seller think he is fooling us into thinking we are getting this on the cheap by staying just under $180? What's with that $0.20 anyway?
LOL!!

It was $178, now marked down from $128. Maybe it had something to do with my message I sent the guy yesterday... I was a little harsh I suppose:
"Dear camera$,
THAT IS HILARIOUS! Thanks for the good laugh! I might be able to pay off my mortgage now with all I have of these laying around. Man, you really need to do some research on what it is you are selling. This one really makes you look like a fool. Good luck!
- a69mustang4me"
That being said, it is a nice 0-6-0 Booster with the full valve gear. (I think they had another name for it when it was the 0-6-0 as apposed to the 0-4-0). Has front & rear lights, whistle, free swinging bell (post only), marker lights & one partially broken front step... paint is gross too! So still $58 is pushing it. No longer in the crazy or funny realm though I guess.

All of his listings are overpriced. He knows cameras, not trains. Get a load of this bargain:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Bachman-Union-Pacific-Locomotive-Collectible-Train-Toy-Mint-w-Box-/280785018990
Probably the worst caboose in HO history... it's not even painted, just bare plastic. But how can you pass it up when it's half off?

If you do a word search for "rare" in HO without description included and you will find nearly 945 items with rare in the title. Add the description & title and you will find nearly ~5,500 listings. If you look in my listings you will find it listed on one. ...and at almost any point, this will be the only one it is in. That word is so over used.
This one:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/SCRATCHBUILT-BRASS-WM-CLASS-M-2-4-6-6-4-CHALLENGER-/370344789179?pt=Model_RR_Trains&hash=item563a4504bb
I have the BIN price sky high at ~$25K because i am really not trying to sell it. I have had it posted in an attempt to find out who made it. I have had it up for ~2 years now and think I have narrowed it down as best as i could....but I state this intent in the listing too...

Walt, et al... Sorry. Just realized this was posted back in September. I had been away from this site for a few years. But, I'm surprized no one else commented on this "N-Scale" trains being identified as "HO-Scale." My brilliant 15 watt brain just blinked on.
Would someone direct me to the "Forsale" "Want to Buy" "Want to Trade" page?
John
p.s. For the proud UP Rail fans, do not go here > http://www.ebay.com/itm/VINTAGE-Athearn-UNION-PACIFIC-TRAIN-ENGINE-678-near-perfect-w-original-box-/160703136580?_trksid=p4340.m185&_trkparms=algo%3DSIC.NPJS%26its%3DI%252BC%26itu%3DUA%26otn%3D5%26pmod%3D280785018990%26ps%3D63%26clkid%3D5391374684508227281#ht_885wt_698 Youu've been worned... er, warned.
I don't have a one track mind. It depends on the turn-out. "I love your catenary!" Is that a power-trip or just another pick-up line?
