I have far more chassis than good motors. In fact- I have 5 chassis that need new motors.

So, I'm thinking of getting some replacement motors for my spare chassis.

I've seen some motors on Ebay...

These seem to look like they'd fit based upon these images-
HP7- http://slotcarcentral.com/drupal-5/cr-t3
US1- http://slotcarcentral.com/drupal-5/cr-u2

Would these work? Has anyone tried this before? Any suggestions on a motor that fits?

I'd just need to swap out the pinion gears.

Most if not all of those square motors are the same dimension and should FIT ok...the only nit would be the shaft length (and diameter?). I think they were all made to a similar size standard so they'd interchange, but again, the shaft length would be the deciding factor. THAT might change. But as long as the shaft length and diameter ( another possible change ) are the same, it should work fine.

An HP7 motor will fit. There are two minor issues. The pinion length is a bit short and the contact tabs need to be bent to the outside edge and not the front.
