Here's my Tyco / IHC hybrid loco. Tyco shell on IHC running gear. I think GIC did this first, I had the shell, found the running gear, added DCC. It's a strong runner.

Gotta love that turn table!!!
I wonder what motor the Tyco/Mantua SD-24's had, that IHC was selling after they got their inventory.

EagleRock,
Which brand of turntable is that? I'm in the market for one and seeking opinions on different brands.

Camden, it's the Walthers 130' model, self indexing. They claim you can have 60 tracks around the table, heck if I could figure that one out. So far I have 34 in place with room for maybe 10 more. The operation has been great. It is self zeroing, so if you remove the bridge it'll find all the track set points. I'm very pleased with it, it was pricey, but worht it to me.

The IHTyCo Chessie SD24 looks mighty fine, eaglerock, especially the lights. Catfordken's stealth switcher is also very neat. For loco of this week I chose:
The Prime Mover! Mehano's Alco Century 430 is heavier and quieter than its early C628 stablemate but is spoiled by an absolute howler. As luck would have it, the offending goofiness is mostly covered here by a bridge. What are the chances! Still, if it quacks like a duck... So I'm not the biggest fan of merged railroads, the Chessie System excepted of course. However, I like the Burlington Northern because the name is smooth and cascade green is cool for cats.

Thanks Tykowolf, I'm thinkg of adding the reverse light, DCC will handle that chore. I'm also thinking of doing the same conversion to a RML Tyco, Coming Round the Mountain

Don't get me started on the PennCentral or on Conrail for that matter! I don't know about these newfangled roads, what does the X stand for in CSX anyways?

Two shades of gold: My just acquired Monsanto Corp F7A (from rare 2001 corporate promo 100th anniversary trainset) coupled to an original Globe Models "Gold Kit" sister from c.1955.

| Thanks for all the good wishes. Everything's going very well so far. She's the complete opposite of our other girl. Our older one cried 24/7, rarely slept, and wouldn't let anyone but her mother hold her. This one sleeps almost all the time and lets everyone hold her.
