Hello Everyone,

My name is Matthew and I've been following this board closely for the past few weeks with hopes of restoring my old Golden Eagle and Chattanooga diesel.

I'm 27 years old, recently graduated from University; so that means I'm currently "looking for work", which gives me a lot of free time.

I'm enjoying the repair section of this board. I'll be posting there shortly with my motor issues.

Welcome, Matthew! There are guys on this board who can get anything back into top shape so I'm sure they'll be able to help you out and Tyco experts abound!

Do you have the "steam whistle" for the Chattanooga diesel? Tyco sure had a great sense of humour!

Hi Matthew. Glad to have you "onboard" with us here in Tycoland. I'm sure we can help you sort out your trains "motivational problems". Most are fairly simple, from broken wires to dirty contacts, but others may need more assistance. We'll do what we can to help you get them back running if possible. Don't hesitate to ask questions!

Welcome Matthew. One quick tip right away. Don't forget to clean your wheels. They tarnish really quickly and degrade contact with the rails. My engines were running really rough yesterday so I rubbed them clean with a bright boy and now the engines run as smooth as can be. Sometimes a little thing can make a big difference.
