I hope it's OK to start one of these threads. I just got my hands on my Dad's old Tyco set. It became "mine" at age six, some 25 years ago. He said it was his as a kid.

The Set # is T5907
Anything you guys can tell me about it would be awesome!

Love your old Red box set, 35Rem. It's always great seeing the genuine Tyco article and I'm constantly amazed to see how in good condition they are, dizzy brakemen repaint notwithstanding.

* I think you need a operating breakman car to replace the one you have. M&StL red.
I think it should look like this.
* This car was made as a Operating Breakman car and a regular box car. Tell me if you want one. I have the proper car but without the rubber bands on the breakman. These I can tell you how to replace.

interesting.

What would that set me back?

EDIT:
I couldn't stand it and broke out some acetone. That's the one. Don't know how I can restore this one.
