You know, I passed up a Batmobile at a flea market last year because they wanted $20 for it. I'm still kind of regretting that.

I'm surprised to see a slot car show. Are slot cars really that popular? Hobby Lobby has replaced their train department with slot cars. I even saw a slot car set at Dollar General today. But I don't actually know anyone (in real life, not internet forums) who cares about them? Is there a following?

Hell yes..... I have about 85 of the original Vibrator and Thunder-Jet Aurora's from the 60's. I love that stuff as do others. $20 for a nice Batman car is a steal!!!!!!

Count me in as a collector, if not operator, of HO scale slots. Like trains, they take up a lot of room, so I don't have a track set up (yet). I'm trying to put one with Tomy track on a 2' x 4' cork pin-up board I got from work. Also going to do an N gauge layout on another corkboard, I got 4 total from work when they were cleaning out.

Anyway, just picked up some Matchbox track recently, one set from a flea market with two cars for $15 total, two-pickup type, and another track set off Ebay, 3-pick-up type. Not sure what that does yet. And they're not compatible with each other, either. Also got some original Aurora track from the big Hershey Auto flea 2 weekends ago, as well as some Tyco gray track, and Gilbert HO gray track.

Allentown, eh? I'll have to look that up, see where it is. Probably too far for me in DC area. Are you sure that's Vultee AVENUE? I'm only finding STREET, by the Municipal airport. Hmm, it's above York, 40 miles, that's doable for me, actually. I'd like to go. No slot tracks left much in my area that I know of. The popularity comes and goes, in this digital age, it doesn't hold the kids attention long. Only us old guys seem to hang on to the hobby.

AMC it is Street not Ave. The LV Train store in that building has a slot car section of Aurora item's for sale as does the store at the opposite end of the building. Last weekend was a huge slotcar show at the Timonium fairgrounds.

My Aurora collection.
