Didn't the main character in Close Encounters of the Third Kind have one?

Also, the Robert Mitchum Christmas film "A Holiday Affair" features a boy who gets a train set, then tries to return it to the store because.....uh......memory is getting a little fuzzy here....has something to do with his mom, and she's dating one guy but likes another....anyway, the kid gets to tell his story to the head of the store in his office.

And don't forget that classic, Back to the Future III. The professor has a layout in his barn to plan how to use the train to launch the Delorean. When someone sees it and asks about it, he says "Just doing a little model railroading."

Smokie, In the past I posted one of those trains on here that you can ride on. (Thread Title; What Scale Is This) About 5 miles from here a guy has nice massive dispaly of railroad items all over his property. Tons of it!! That train runs around his home & large garages... His train & railroad displays are really cool! Also has an old enclosed phone booth visible from the driveway...
