Nice! Here's a hopper of my own, also needs ID, it's got end bracing for a tapered look, and has two levers underneath that stick out one side and operate each set of long doors individually. I don't see a maker or brand mark on it anywhere. No weights, either. Has coupler pockets, and someone added wire steps. Nice piece, I've just never seen an end-braced hopper quite like this one.

I didn't notice until just now, but I love the Kilroy on the Navy car.

I've had these since 2001 and I don't believe they have ever been out of the box since. The hard to find Tyco True Value Piggyback trcks. Had to get them out today for a pic.

Fear my metal hoppers!
These are Model Power MetalTrain Pennsylvania hoppers, part of a set I unpacked this weekend. Solid would be the best way to describe them. I wonder if they'll rust?

Hey TW:
Wouldn't it be great if they did rust! Would the rust be in HO scale though?

If I remember correctly, the hopper is an old Ulrich car. It's diecast but I don't recall if MDC/Roundhouse made it.

Hey, I'm serious! I had some old Lima steel track you could almost hear rusting. Don't want that to happen to my fancy new Fleet of Metalism, HO scale rust or not!
