Hello All, I just picked up Model Power's little 'Hustler' industrial loco. It looks a lot like Athearn's. I was skeptical that it would perform well, not having Model Power since the 70's when they were horrible. This thing actually starts slow and runs smooth. It has a headlight, and what they call 'directional lighting', which is a red light (diode) on the cab back which only illuminates in reverse. You can find them new on Ebay pretty cheap--mine cost $12. For the 'critter' fans, I would recommend it.

I picked up a Pennsylvania one a few years ago,and was impressed how well it runs. The only problem is the headlight is a lamp, and the red backup light is a LED. The LED takes far less voltage to light than the headlamp,so the headlight doesn't shine very bright.

Yes, I noticed that about the headlight also. Mine came equipped with Kadees which is nice. I got the SP version.
