Hi all. Peter HANN from Australia here. I'm new to this group[okay]. I model SP & modern shortline rr's in HO representing Oregon. However my apetite for building SP diesels is taking over . I wish to buy an HO Alco C-415 loco body or complete model whether running or not is NOT important. I believe all SP C-415's had the high cab option, but as i love kitbashing a normal height cab type is not of concern.
Many Thanks
Many Thanks. Best Regards. Pete H. Australia

Hi back, Peter. How's winter down under? Hot as Hades up here in the northern hemisphere in America (north, USA ). Anyway, were you looking for a specific manufacturer of the C415, or just any? ARE there any? Never heard of a 415 before. Or are you just hoping to find one somewhere? Just curious. Guess I"ll have to google it to find out. As always, Ebay is a wonderful site to find about anything. Another is this place :
http://www.modeltrainsyard.com/
It's an auction-monitoring and search website that pulls up ONLY model train auctions. None of the BS you get with Ebay, somehow the searches only bring in relevant train products, never non-related items. Not sure how it works, but I use it in conjunction with Ebay to search, then mark, the auctions. I'd try there first, to see if you can find anything. Good luck on your item search!
Edit 7:22 AM - Here's one, by IHC? That what you looking for? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=280532748113

I beleive this is what Peter is looking for...
/tyco/forum/uploaded/vintageho/20100714082117_SP Alco C415.jpg So far the only makers would be IHC released 2002, ATT early 1960s and life like 1970s. Still looking for more info... Carl

Hi all members. That photo of SP C-415 #2400 by vintageHO is great. The Ho model of this is what i wish to buy. I believe the old Lifelike version had a very basic mechanism. Not sure about the current IHC version. Anyway i can repower the most basic type. Just need a good bode shell. I've got old Mehano (Yuglosavia), /Model power RS11 power trucks or can use cut down Athearn GP9 (gp7), mech. I recently spotted an EL livery model of the IHC C-415 model on ebay. As many of us know EL never rostered any C-415 anyway so the paint scheme of model is not important. Thanks to all who replied.
Many Thanks. Best Regards. Pete H. Australia
