There's a little activity in the yards as an excursion run pulls onto the local from the main line.

Nice work WKS! I am constantly surprised how your different camera
angles keep me thinking you are photographing on a whole new venue.
That little switcher is one of my favorites, and it is great to see one
bombing along at Run 8. Nice use of color on color.

Barry, that is some terrific work. Love the buggies lined up like automobiles
in a parking lot.

My friends and I are relaxing in the lobby waiting for the Amtrak to roll us away into

My name is Penelopy Droughtwater and Father and I recently returned from
touring the United Kingdom, er, in 1880 where we spied a small tank
locomotive giving way to an express hurtling by at a speed of at least
40 miles per hour. The seven foot drive wheel is driven by a single
piston and rod affair between the wheels- like a butter churn, father says.

Father says the little tank engine could perhaps generate as much force
as three hundred draft horses. Whatever will they think of next? Flying
machines??

Friday Morning Addition.
Snoopy reporting
* A group of used tank cars came into the car shop at Frankford yards, Bergen Point. They sat at a wreck seen for almost a year. The owners giving the PGW the contract to refurbish them to where they can be useful tank cars again. They arrived on flat cars with missing or with broken couplers and trucks due to the derailment they experienced. The tanks them selves look to be in good condition with paint a little scratched up. Here are the three Crystal Car line cars with new trucks and couplers. The tanks and frames have had all their testing done and some accessories still need replacement. The work is coming along at a good pace.

Nice photos so far. This next one depicts CB&Q equipment operating

A rare visitor on this rural spur track, a mighty Chesapeake & Ohio Allegheny sits beside a local dairy farm waiting for the main to clear.

Great photos, all. Love that contrast of a green,
red and yellow box car agains a green, yellow
and red landscape. Nice use of perspective, also.
