Ah, you know I do. Sit back, open the paper and feel the rails under the wheels. By the way, El Paso has taken its PCC trolleys out of storage and is building a little loop that will go up and down a steep little grade (maybe 8%) from the University campus to the downtown area. $45,000,000. Going to take some ridership to recoup that price tag.

TF RR News June 2, 2015 Very relaxing scene in your hometown Gary. This next photo shows a Long Island Railroad train named the Peconic Bay Express traveling westbound on a sunny afternoon in June 2015. It travels by scenic countryside on eastern Long Island with views of vineyards and potato farms.
Plenty of residents love the clean air environment over there. Photo taken at Cutchogue, New York.

This picture is of a antique coach which has operated for many decades. It has since been shipped out to West Texas for possible renovation. The people at Jeff's Chop Shop have restored railroad items for years. This photo was recently taken at Ashland, PA before heading west.
Hopefully it will be filled with happy tourists on its future runs.

As promised, for my friend WKS. A lonely hospital car picks its way through the woods in 1862.
A train passes through a covered bridge somewhere in Vermont in 1857.
While another train puffs its way to Amherst, Massachusetts, as a load of cabbages crosses overhead to Northampton, Massachusetts.
Timbers creak as it passes over the North River in Shelburne Falls, Massachusetts. A video of this diorama: https://youtu.be/MCTotVdXUg4

* Here at Bergen Point up town in the Centerville section is the 34 street station. ( A Atlas station ) with two buildings to its south. The closest is a Faller House from 1957. It is not from a kit but factory assembles in Germany by Faller. The Faller catalog number is 287. The Faller name for it is "Mountain Home". The next house to the left is another Faller building. Again factory assembled. It is Numbered 257, and its name is "House with garage". This home is with only a one car garage. It is also made with a 2 car garage. I think it had the same number. frank
Here are the three houses together. 257, 287, and the Atlas station.

Now here is the Atlas station.

Here is the 287 Mountain Home.

Here is 257 House with garage

C'mon Buss, give us a story! You know, something like:
Restaurant Mascot Has Paranormal Close Call
Scottsbluff, Nebraska
On Tuesday afternoon, a local man reports he was walking home from his job as a card flipper for A&W restaurants, when out of nowhere, the Hogwarts Express suddenly materialized just yards from him, forcing him to dive for his life to avoid becoming hamburger meat himself. The train rushed by and dematerialized just as suddenly as it appeared. "I've never seen anything like it!' the man exclaimed. "The world just dissolved and then I found myself out in the countryside some- where with this huge train just bearing down on me. And then just as quickly, it disappeared!" The man, whose identity the authorities did not disclose, is being held in the state hospital for observation.

Chops, your occasional literary posts are an inspiration! As to Buss's other picture:
Locomotive Intentionally Rolled from Tracks
Scottsbluff, Nebraska
Railroad employees took drastic action Monday morning after a locomotive running light suffered catastrophic engine failure less than an hour before ElectroMotive Division's new Aerotrain demonstator was due to pass though Scottsbluff on it's inaugural test run. Understanding the urgency of the situation, maintenance crews were on the scene within minutes of the incident. When interviewed, the maintenance foreman stated that the Road Foreman of Engines had told him directly, "I Don't care what you have to do, just get it done! If that Aerotrain is delayed, there'll be h*** to pay!" With the Aerotrain just minutes away, the decision was made by the maintenance foreman to roll the incapacitated engine off the tracks. When the Road Foreman of Engines was questioned about the incident, he denied any involvement and stated that the entire incident is under investigation by the railroad, and that the maintenance foreman had been suspended without pay until the matter is resolved.

Late Breaking Update on Locomotive Intentionally Rolled from Tracks
Scottsbluff, Nebraska
Investigators looking into the case of a locomotive rolled from the tracks have noticed a trailer in the background of a photograph taken at the scene of the investigation. They have announced a theory that, "some horseplay has been involved."
Another theory, pronounced the same, but spelled differently suggests that, "some horseplay has Ben involved."

I have a few trollys I run once in a while, but it really bothers me that I have no overhead wire.
I love the idea of trollys converted to solar power! I can live with takiing off the poles and running them with no guilt. I might even put on a few solar panels on the roofs to further the idea!
Great idea!

The TF RR News June 16, 2015 This next photo shows Tony at the local pizzeria shop daydreaming. He spots the local freight dropping off his favorite drinks at the shop. He thinks of hitching a ride on the train to parts unknown. However, the sweet aroma of a freshly made pizza pie changes his mind and he heads back inside to devour the first fresh slice with more to come.
Perhaps one day he will take that trip beyond his bucolic area of Rutland, Vermont and see what is on the other side of the fence.

TF Railroader News June 17, 2015 This next scene shows Miss Wilkes departing her home in upscale Ravenel, SC. As a vain spoiled aristocrat southern belle, she shows off her wealth and physical beauty to the local men. One of her suitors shown here is Mr. Kennedy who also has wealth and high standing in the community. She distrusts him since he has other women at his disposal. As she meets him to take a ride in his expensive vintage car, a streetcar traveling to Charlestown stops in front of her house. The engineer is Mr. Robillard who has no wealth and lives a frugal lifestyle. She had dated him but they broke off due to their different lifestyles. He still loves her and is dedicated to be faithful to her. What path shall she take?
Whether she makes the right choice or regrets the road not taken, only time will tell. This is just another short tale at this small corner of as the world turns.

TF RR News June 22, 2015 Nice photos of the LV equipment you saw Frank. I saw one of their RS3 sisters roaming the rails in the gorge near Mauch Chunk during one of my hikes up there recently. This next photo shows a New Haven SD unit making an unscheduled stop in Shelton, Connecticut. The crew heard about inclement weather in the area with many lightning strikes. They took shelter in the station while the storm passed through the area.
After a two hour delay, they continued toward New Haven, CT.
I photographed some of the colorful cars outside Shelton.
The sun came out to bring out the colorful consist.

TF Railroader News June 24, 2015 We return to Marietta, GA with a visitor to this area. Pennsylvania Great Western Railway metroliner named The Frankford Bankers Express makes a station stop on this sultry early evening. The set has recently been repainted in Minuteman patriotic colors for display around the country. PGW also has a display of items used during the metroliners 47 year operation. A traveling informative museum for everyone to enjoy for years to come.
The Frankford Shops employees are always innovators in technology and are always enthusiastic about sharing our important railroad heritage for todays visitors and future generations to come.

After the metroliner left, Southern Pacific set came in to the station. It is part of a collection that will be here for the next three weekends. There will be shows and attractions for all to enjoy.
Later the F unit left the station for storage in the nearby yards.

Later that night, some of us went to the photo session set up by the employees of Southern Railroad.
Clear conditions helped the event.

After the engines were stored away, we took pictures of various passenger cars.
Many thanks to the employees of Southern Railroad for setting the event for us.
