April 8 2010
Transfer and initial test runs have been completed on the pair of I1 decapods Transferred from Pennsylvania's Frankford Roundhouse .
To The Catford London Roundhouse Chief Engineer Catford Ken has said initial test runs are completed with positive results.
This pair of Hippos soon to be joined by a L1 mikado and H9 consolidation will help relieve the power shortage on main line freight service.
The presence of these engines will provide local railfans with many moments seeing these powerful locomotives working with and alongside British Built Bulldogs.
It will be a sight to be seen.

I took that Budd RDC from Bridgeport, Connecticut, to Springfield, Massachusetts, along the banks of the Connecticut River. It was a fabulous ride, but I sorely miss the lovely autumn colors captured here.
Oh, how I wish Americans would abandon their automobiles, automotive wrecks, traffic jams, and insurance costs for the train. Well, I can dream, can't I? WKS is living the non-automotive dream. He is an expert on navigating rail and bus all about the NYC region, and beyond.
Ah, Maxwell House. Good to the last drop of Tyco. One of my favorite Tyco cars.
