A Rock Island freight run rumbling down the rails in sunny conditions.
Pair of diesel units doing their task.
Great weather in Iowa.
Birds singing their hearts out.
Pine tree scents fill the air out here.
Look at her go.
Horn blasts echo all around the valley.
What a great day to railfan.
Great place to hike and take in the fresh air.
Hours and hours of fun here in Iowa.
Leased caboose from New Jersey.
What a joy to see her in action.
It is a heck of a day here in Des Moines Iowa.

Quiet time in Landisville Pennsylvania.

From a distance various train sounds signal the local is nearby.
She arrives on time with few passengers.
Minutes later she departs eastward toward Philadelphia Pennsylvania.
Hours later the horn of an engine resonates its distinct sound thru the night.
After she departs quiet time resumes in this peaceful area of Pennsylvania.

Two years of continued reliable performance surprises no one.
She pulls a passenger set that offers comfortable service with very affordable fares.
Later she stops at a local station on time as usual.
Increasing cloud cover is evident here in Windsor England. PGW president Sir Catford Ken has kept her lettering which is popular with local residents.

Waiting for a signal change.
Motors are getting louder as she starts slowly.

Interesting State of Maine box. I'd not known it to roll under the auspices of that grand old Class I, NY,NH & H. Also reminded of "The Great Potato Freeze" of about 1976, or thereabouts, when great strings of potato reefers were allowed to run out of fuel and freeze up, destroying a majority of Maine's potato crop that year, in the Selkirk yard. That, alas, under the auspices of the poor old Penn Central. Ran a lot of potato farmers out of business that year, and most of the harvest now goes by truck.

Fortunately Penn Central thrives in this alternate universe Jeff. They are well respected throughout the land. One of their improvements show that they purchased some old New York City subway cars and rebuilt them as solar powered units for use in various communities. We visit one such area to see them in action with their splendid colors.
