The Tyco Forum Railway News Evening addition. 2-17-2017 Snoopy Reporting.
I am back from a long time spent at the Saylorsburg Branch, learning to operate a steam locomotive. It is quite a task. I don't know exactly what happened when all large locomotives were sent west. Things are back to normal now. It seams now that END F units fill the roundhouse. B&O C&O Union Pacific, Chicago Northwestern, PRR, NYC, Canadian National all can be seen. Still steam in present in good numbers. The last large locos here were the C&O Allegany and UP Big Boy. A B&O EM-1 roared through here a few days ago. Well I find out where my camera is and charge the batteries, and back to work soon. Things are looking up. Snoopy the Photographer. You newsman in Bergen Point.

Nice combination of the color orange- orange rail cars, orange foliage. Railroads have this way of organically enhancing, not detracting, the landscape through which they travel. I have fond memories of taking that same Budd RDC from Springfield, Mass. to connect up with the NYC bound Metroliner at Bridgeport, Conn. It followed the course of the serene Connecticut River. Under Amtrak, colors, NH being a a little before my time.

The Tyco Forum Railway News Evening addition. 2-23-2017 Snoopy Reporting.
Back at last. A sensational event has occurred here at the Frankford Roundhouse. I've taken a photo of 2 rarely seen Locomotives together. A Southern Pacific F7A and a Canadian Pacific F7a together in the service area. Both over 3,000 miles away from the ocean they are named after. The SP loco came here for service as it was acting up as it pulled The Daylight cross-country, on a rare trip to New York City. The CP unit also sent here for servicing. Snoopy Reporting !

Nice scene with the RDC unit picking up passengers Jeff. The GP unit 5628 performed flawlessly on the two percent grades in the region Frank. The Frankford crew did a great job repairing her to bring peak performance for her duties. Those gondolas have reinforced sides to accommodate heavy loads Prime. Thanks Sean. It has been a while since i dedicated this amount of time to the layout. Seems as if the motivation is back. It's not always easy given work and family commitments but good weather + daylight savings time equals more train time:)

That is some laylout wks. Thanks for sharing.
Here to report a strange sighting on the line. A Susquehanna & Western came in today for some electrical work (dcc install). Most were amazed at how well the old gal ran even with her stock motor (model power). She has a bit of a growl to her but it adds to her charm. She impressed her way into the roster without needing heavy modification.

Next on the horizon is a steam driven freight run in Lexington Kentucky.

The animal has to be careful of the fast moving freight set.

A lovely lady waves to the crew as the train passes her house.

A familiar gondola makes the trip even here.

Some freight cars with football equipment are part of the set.

They need to update the origin city for that team.

Another familiar gondola also makes the scene.

That caboose needs decals soon.
