The heavyweights on the PGW are found up on the Sailorsburg branch for now. Will be back soon. Here a C&O Alleghany, 1256, is almost on the turntable ( if it fits? ). Behind it a LNE ( X PRR ) Mikado. Upfront a pair of R class Erie Santa Fe types. ( right, R3 4203, and left, R1 4015 ).

Great view of those beasts of the east Frank. Constant activity at that roundhouse.
These next views show a slower pace of life as a commuter car makes her rounds
near Millerton New York at the start of brilliant fall foliage in Dutchess County.

Late afternoon shadows signal cooler temperatures for the passengers of that area.

Nightfall approaches as she travels south toward White Plains New York.

This vintage slide shows a Pennsy gondola car, loaded with light mixed scrap, waiting outside the Richard And Sons Junkyard, a major scrapyard that processes scrap from all across the region and beyond.

Take me back to the Berkshires. In fact, downtown El Paso is getting
back PCC street cars. They are laying the track as we speak. They
are going to be the original shells with updated mechanisms, but
not solar powered!

Nice shots of the Doodlebug- one of my favorite self propelled cars.

Nice junkyard shot. Cleverly set up.

Nice close up, especially on the bridge. I love those stripes!!

I've ridden that MBTA commuter into Boston a time or two. It is by far the
best way to travel into Boston. Takes you right to South Station and to the
excellent MBTA where one can fly unimpeded beneath the traffic clogged
streets. The one I took had a pusher, like the FP40 on one end,and a car
with MU controls on the other. Terrific ride!
