The Pegasus Bay Railroad reports that its first tri-level autorack, delivered unbuilt and unpainted by Gloor, will soon be in service:
The documentation was unclear on intended mechanism if any for hinging the bridgeplates, but the railroad's own shops turned out a suitable one within a day.

Interesting autocarrier freight car you saw Zelda. Interested to see the various cars it would transport to various dealerships in the near future. Meanwhile we see a familiar heritage unit owned by Union Pacific with various rail fans photographing the beautiful scenery in the sunny valley of the Rockies.
Colorful set with Kansas and Colorado Railroad colors. Scene near Brookside Colorado.

Yeah, it was a great find at my LHS, probably something they got from a collection. A Gloor Craft Models tri-level autorack craftsman kit. Got it for the original manufacturer-printed price of $12.95

Dry rails and good running to her!
More updates from the Pegasus Bay Railroad: * An unused big hook and boom tender set built by the Tyler Mfg. Co. has been purchased at bargain price plus transport cost from a railroad that had one surplus to requirements. * One of the railroad's customers has ordered a new piece of load-handling equipment, also built by Tyler. A ramp to facilitate the loading of its culvert pipes onto railcars. * A depot along the line has also acquired some Tyler equipment, though not new this time. It has acquired a pusher-equipped tractor to unload bulk cargoes with, but the tractor is missing its controls. * The railroad has begun work on two new locomotive classes, a 4-8-4 and a 4-8-2

A little backstory is that I was not much of a BN guy, but when Walt sent me this yellow BN car I had to buy up another dozen BN cars and find a matching loco and caboose to set it off. Slippery slope, indeed. Thank goodness the BN cars are pretty common. Bought most of them from BNSFIA. Who now appears to be collecting BN F units.

Some archival shots taken from a train show last year, and no, that is not my ugly mug. I might get reported to the APMA (Association for the Prevention of Mantua Abuse), but I like to max out a train. Seen here she is lights bright, open throttle, wheels slipping just a little, as she hauls a string of pure Tyco billboards.
I recently took those modules and stripped them down to bare wood and we are resurfacing them all with a new improved switch yard and improved wiring characteristics.
