These next photos show a PGW steamer making a station stop at Coopersdale PA
with several coaches recently borrowed from the Chicago and Alton Railroad.

The train waited a while for a freight run to clear the main line.

Shades of red silver and maroon livery with gold stenciling make for an interesting photogenic set.

The wailing whistle signals her departure for points east.

Later a smaller PGW steamer with old timers passed thru the area. They will eventually arrive
in Bergen Point NJ to be part of the huge collection of passenger sets with happy travelers
visiting family members during the upcoming festive holiday season this December.

We continue to span the United States and beyond in our continual search for exciting railfanning
action. Our first stop is Mapledurham England where we find a PGW set in action recently.

Sir Catford Ken is always impressed with her dynamic performance and reliable promptness.

Ken never tires of her beautiful livery and elegant grace as she glides thru the countryside.

We are back in the USA with a SP freight set in Barstow California.

Next a birdeye view of a CP holiday inspired set in Coquitlam BC Canada.

Our last stop is at El Vergel Mexico with a colorful solar powered trolley unit. Happy Holidays.

Nice Conrail set you saw Jeff. Reliable and usually on time on their many runs. I recently
visited the Alleghany and Western Railroad and took some nice photos of their equipment.

Shot in and near Wilkes Barre PA.

Time for me to take the bus home.

Photos taken by me at the West Island RR club in Hicksville NY. Open house in December.

Our next photos show an overworked accountant waiting for the next train at Elberon NJ.

He is hoping that the train comes soon. It is getting colder as the night continues.

Finally she approaches the station with her familiar whistle and low rumbling sounds.

It is a relief to get on board and away from the biting cold wind off the nearby ocean.

Sure is nice and warm inside those cozy brightly lit coaches.

As the train departs the station is one again empty waiting for the next passengers
to visit her humble premises. These photos come out better if viewed in the dark.
Try looking at them with 3-D glasses.

We return to New Jersey with some more night shots.
Same line but a bit south in Manasquan NJ.

Two trains meet at the station on another cold night.

They are traveling slow thru this area due to signal issues.

First train finally departed. Second one is on its way.

A new passenger waits for the next train. Photos look better in the dark.

Those lovely women are the local southern belles who frequent the tower for some swimming pleasure.
The next photos were taken far away from Florida. Canadian Pacific steamer dressed as a Lionel fantasy
engine doing the rounds to entertain the local children near Bangor Maine on a cold blustery day.

Such a lovely sight to behold.

Lionel employees dressed as famous cartoon icons from days past.

Nice toys inside the car.

More nice gifts.

Happy travelers singing to the crowd.

Friendly animals to bring joy to the children.

Merry Christmas.

This next set is one of the holiday specials operated by Canadian Pacific Railroad. This one is in the
United States and seen a bit west of the previous photographed set. Photos taken at Pecos Texas.

Jeff takes a break during the train action. The blaring K5LA horns make him rush to
the tracks to photograph the train. His daughter would rather finish her ice cream.

Remarkably, WKS scene of Jeff rushing away from the
ice cream truck at the sound of diesel horn is eerily
accurate. The BNSF track out of El Paso goes right
past Love Park, and more than once I have done
precisely that as my daughter bought ice cream.
True story. Art imitating life.

Thank you Jeff and Frank. I do my best to show the latest photos on this informative railfan paper.
These next photos show one of the vintage sets leaving New Jersey. Photos taken along the
Lackawanna cutoff section of PGW railway yesterday on Christmas Day.

Photos taken at Blairstown NJ. Always work to do on any railroad line regardless of time of year.

As the sun lowers toward night, we see the same set at a signal stop in Hainesburg NJ.

Should get more sets to photograph before all depart New Jersey.

Very picturesque scene you saw Gary. The weather in New Jersey was mild days ago.
These photos show PGW set named the White Knights at a signal stop in Dunellen NJ.

She is on her way westward toward Easton PA with coaches restored as parlor cars.

The set is with others at a storage yard in Centreville NJ later that day.

Some May like scenes at Christmas. No snow here.
