Last we find some solar powered former brill trolley cars with a full passenger load waiting for their east bound counterparts to clear the main line in pretty suburban El Paso Texas.
They will build a second main line track in the area to improve service. Jeff will get home to his lovely family even faster in the near future.

Great night shoots, WKS. Evocative of lonliness and security, both.
Here a GG1 presses westward towards Harrisburg as night falls.
While an excursion train huffs back to its museum headquarters as it passes a trolley as night falls (I do have the roof you kindly sent me, this is an older picture).

These next photos were taken in and around Liberty NY during a peak foliage start to the weekend. Few freight cars waiting for a unit to pick them up.
Rise and shine for the animals to enjoy a hearty breakfast this cold morning day.
Many hours later a peaceful scene overlooking the valley on a cold night.

SD45 on the point of the NH train. All twelve wheels are grinding hard as she pulls like a stevedore up a 1.5% grade. Black smoke tinges the muddy sky and the ground shakes from her labor. The exhaust blasts the late Spring air. Flanges shriek in protest as she wrests around the curved, uphill track.

Interesting equipment you saw in action Jeff. This next photo shows two symbols of NJ Transit equipment at a meet near Lebanon New Jersey.
Of interest is a scene with a stern mother and her disobeying daughter arguing again. The daughter will later travel on the next bus to the Jersey shore to hook up with boring undisciplined youngsters to continue her descent into a miserable lifestyle with little chance for recovery. More's the pity.
