i would have thought brunswich which is a very dark green, but all i have seen are black pulling maroon coaches ken Pennsylvania Railroad locomotives were uniformly painted in a color commonly called Brunswick Green but known to the railroad as Dark Green Locomotive Enamel (DGLE, or DGLC for -Color.) This was an effectively black paint that contained a high proportion of copper oxides. These gave it a very slight greenish tinge that became more pronounced over time and with wear as the paint further oxidised. DGLE is often described as being indistinguishable from black when fresh unless next to a pure black paint (as used on the underframes of PRR locomotives beneath the running board s).Edited by - catfordken on April 02 2010 1:46:31 PM

If you were mixing it in a airbrush I once heard at a easy way to get it was 5% dark green and the rest was engine black or something related. This got roughly the effect Catfordken described. If your like me and stuck with spray cans lol, probably just go with black.

I hate everyone who has a nicer T1 than I do...and I mean everyone lol. Seriously it looks like it cleaned up pretty nice! I think mine is going to get stripped down eventually. I think someone painted it what looked like a Tuscan red color, then tried stripping it off with a small wire wheel Plus the drive wheels are different colors of black. So I think the plan is I'll strip my down and polish it up, wheels too, and leave it just like that. Still it pulls so hard, I think its possibly the single hardest pulling loco on the layout. To even match it we usually need a lashup of 3 Athearn Genesis or Kato driven locos.

They only make Bruinswick Green in air Brush Paint. I have used their paints with excellent results. Carl Numquam Immoderatio Satis Est (Too Much Is Never Enough )
