Last Alco Standing?, C430 version. Part of Tyco's history, a "C430" Alco replacement by Mehano in VGN colors used in the early '90s, VHTF . Notice the 4301 road number. The SF version uses 8130. To my knowledge these were the only "C430s" that were used in sets.

Here's my Tyco Santa Fe C430. Very noisy at low speeds, but still a nice runner.

Here's the Santa Fe 8130 Alco Fan mentioned in the first post. I think I've shown it before, but here it is again to fit the theme:

It runs great once you get it moving, but it jerks and stalls when you start it up.
Shaygetz: have you had bad luck with model power? I only own one and it runs very well. Just curious.

I think my PC 430 went to GIC and when he drops by here and reads this he can comment on that one being a different green?

Hey AF:
Your old Avatar with the PC 430 was the green the same as the one in this thread above?

Yes, you're right. That pic was from the auction. When I got it in the mail I realized the right rear steps were broken off. I was a little disappointed. I have one example with a box now.

| That's a good Alco Mike. My son has one of those and it is the US Army version. Most of the hand rails are missing and I need to put couplers on it but it is operable.
