I finally picked up a Rivarossi Big Boy. It came equipped with DCC but does not have sound. It barely fits the turntable! Tom

Sweet loco...
Does this count? A Bachmann cable car...technically not a loco but hey, it's powered...

From big steam to little steam: here's my brand new Mantua classics 0-6-0 from the "classic six" set.

Nice loco, Mike.
This page is like a "wish list" for me. I really want a big boy, a trolley, and I don't have any Rio Grande locos. I can't wait for the next train show!

I'm pretty sure the real Big Boy was too big for the UP's turntables as well. I think they let the last few wheels on the tender hang off the edge of the turntable? Heh.

Thanks Burlington, I did not know they existed and then I found and bought two... I love the colours.

Here's my favorite Rio Grande engine, an old Model Power 4-6-2 that started life as a Santa Fe engine in a "Pacific Prince" train set. After several Colorado trips it wasn't long before it was my first decaling project (hence the slightly off-center tender lettering). I've been spending the evening adding a knuckle coupler to the front and using a silver sharpie to add some more passenger-power polish to it here and there:

It still runs smooth after several thousand scale miles. Definitely one of my favorite engines.
