Going through my oddlot building bin, there's 3 I have questions about:

First one (steam water tower) isn't so much for ID, as to mention it's available if anyone needs/wants... a few bucks or trade, let me know. That said, it is NOT the Pola/Tyco/et-al version.... it's very different in many ways. Anyone know whodunnit?
Second one is a radar tower, and appears to be lighted. The radar dish can be spun manually. But this is an odd piece: looks too bulky and overbuilt for HO, too small for O. Can anyone identify this? This may also be available for sale/trade...
Last one is the true enigma. It's HO, looks like a Faller or Vollmer kit but there is no ID mark, and I can't find anything similar on their respective websites. Now I have seen similar structures in Chicago - VERY similar in fact - but usually with a clock tower and/or as a central part of a much larger structure or complex. But this is a free-standing tower with the same windows on all four identical sides, with just the one door, and that little office addition on the side. It's too tall, square, and narrow to be a traditional factory, too ornate to be a commercial building, but too cold and imposing to be an office or residential structure. That said, it definitely looks European and the sign on top looks like it may have had a water tank or something at one time. So... just what the heck is it supposed to be? (I do plan to keep it unless it turns out to be some sort of gold mine, which it won't).
Thanks...!

D'oh! Immediately after I posted this, a little bird whispered "Kibri" in my ear... and there it is!

So as I suspected it IS just part of a much much larger complex. does that ever look awesome... too bad I didn't get the rest of it! Especially given the price! Still seems odd that said portion could be built as a free-standing structure though.

Hi Tony. The Based on the style and color Radar Tower Looks Like A Ideal Models Item. It was also made for Gilbert #35210. I have the Water Tower which is identical with the exception of the top. I can't find the tower. Have to look for it. Also, I have a picture of the American Flyer Version. In the picture I do Not have all of the parts. But, you can see the similarity between the two. There is a elctrical coil that makes the Radar antenna light up and turn. Carl

Thanks for the help guys.
Carl, do you have any instructions or other info on the radar tower? I cleaned the antenna base and coil area. The bulb lights... and when I insert the antenna it is held in place with electromagnetism, and sort of buzzes... but will not spin (the magnetism seems to be too strong, and just sucks it down tight). If I lift it just slightly, it vibrates... just enough to give the impression that if it were free to vibrate it might actually end up rotating. But I don't see how it's supposed to spin otherwise. I tried inserting an O-ring as a shim... and while the magnetism wasn't as strong, it didn't vibrate at all. Makes no difference if I use AC or DC.
