Good Remembrance Day To all the Commonwealth Vets as we pause at the 11th Hour of the 11th Day of the 11th month to Honour our Valiant Dead.
A Snappy Salute also to my American Brothers as well; both from my Mom & Dads generation that fought the Second World War/Korea and the Cold War types like myself.
Pax Vobiscum.

Thanks to all service men and women past, present and future.
For those of you who have never seen it, here's an amazing music video that I've seen played at several school Remembrance Day assemblies. I saw it today for the first time in six years.

Those old Wool "Battle Dress" uniforms. I remember them like yesterday. In the old black & white movie bits I see my Mom & Dad's faces and their whole generation.
BUT even more important is the fact that boys not much older than Eric (DaCheez)) come into Toronto every week on the Highway of Hero's in a box and a black car and peopple line the overpasses for 180 miles in homage every time. But I just want to see them grow old.
Houseman wrote once:
Here dead we lie because we did not choose To live and shame the land from which we sprung. Life, to be sure, is nothing much to lose; But young men think it is, and we were young.
So to our young are my thoughts & hopes, even as my tears & eternal thanks are for that generation called the "Greatest".
Sorry to go on. It a special and reverant day.
