A pair of LNER side tankers for the PGW. Transfered fron the Catford Branch to the Frankford Branch. both arrived as 0-6-0t's. The rebuild of the one on the left was done at the Frankford Roundhouse, at Bergen Point.

Where do you find locos like those? I've been to train shops, train shows, etc. for the last 15+ years and I've never seen anything like those LNERs or many of your steamers in real life. I think I live in the train dead zone.

Today and yesterday I worked on the removiable track tection. I hinged one side and made a holding and release for the now hinged drop away track section.
1 This is before. a removable double track section. Held in place with 6 screws. When removed it gave access to the open center section.
2 You see it now with the section removed.

a look at the opening with the track section released and hanging down.
The oposite end with release open. The plate to the left and the angle bracket to the right hold the track section from moving side to side. The gate that is swung down supports the track section from below.
Here you see the gate up with the holding pin in place.

* I have finally taken the time and moved my power supplies (throttles) to a new location on the outside of the layout loops. I also have installed and wired the three new double pole double throw switches need to give me a choice of two different power supplies for any electrical section of the layout,. This allows me two run trains between sections, A and B main line loops without any hesitation. I am not a DCC person nor want to be. I rely on properly wired block control. I refuse to spend the money for two or three locomotives and only get one. frank new throttle location. New switching.

New engine service area. I changed the track and building layout to gain some space for small buildings, a street, and not be knocking into the coal tower anymore. post 45 shows tower right on edge in bumping territory. frank
the old look. Coal tower in on the tracks and not right up against the center opening where I bump it all the time.
the new look. Eztra space, and no bumping tower it is set back.
