Electrical operation of the Olear, Wapner coal tower.

...Of course to prevent employee theft of light bulbs all fixtures are left hand threaded.

Super nice coaling tower, Frank. And I agree we have to do every thing in our power to protect the profit and make the bottom line look good... But, shoosh, left hand threaded light fixtures? LOL

That little sentance is meant to be a spoof , a sarcastic remark, On what I went thro in my working enviorment where more money was spent to watch the employies then was paid to them.
The watchers, were watching the watchers, who were watching the watchers, watch the watchers.

Layouts in truth are never done untill the day you take it apart to start a new one. There are always changes to make. I have yet to build a block control panel, and figure out where the throttles are going. The yard, yard access track, industral area, service area and roundhouse storage tracks all need to be wired to the control panel that isn't built.

Tanked : Right now I spin it with my finger. It is a Heljan turntable that was offered by Walters. Thier is, and i have the drive for it. Rotation and directional control will be buttons close to the turntable. This is the only control that will not be at the central box.

The day you get a T1 I'm going to explode from PRR jealously. Seriously its bad enough you built your own K4 streamliner, but your swimming around in I1's lol. The decapods are on my hit list, there are 3 shows in the next 3 weeks so we'll see. GREAT stuff Toptrain keep it coming the new layout really looks nice!

How does the streamliner run, Frank? Like a typical Mantua, I guess? It must pull well with all of that weight and a light tender.

I'm loving that Decapod...

Nelson: It is a very good puller. The Riverossi tender provides a better left rail pick that the tyco-mantua. It doesn't have that slow down in one direction that a uncleaned tyco-mantua has. The heavy boiler gives better electrial pickup and traction. Today I changed to a 6 car Riverossi streamlined smothside set from a 3 car Tyco streamlined set. The engine doesn't care. It pulls this one as good as that.

Ben: I live in New Jersey. In the New York city area. Brick buildings like those are common in this area. the Dutch settled here first. Their influence in building remains. I don't consider these buildings as being very different then what is around here. The English liked to build in brick also. Where those Romans went the people learned to build in brick.
The church you commented on is a N scale one. In the distance it looks OK. It really has no permanent place here and will go. Are their N scalers that need a church? If so PM me.
I have another brick building problem. Pola Ho buildings. The two that I have, and assembled are S gauge not HO. They are just too large. I am looking to replace them to. i have learned never to believe any thing you read on a box.
Hey Ben does it make you happy to teach spelling. Also I know there is a "a" in sidewalk.

Just today the Penn Line mikado shown in front on the Penn line decapod has been reasigned form the Frankford branch line US, to the Catford London UK branch for some serious work. May its wheels keep turning and stay on track. It, and its three brothers will be missed here at the Frankford Roundhouse.

Reciently transfered form the Catford Branch London UK , To Frankford Branch US. A tender to go behind an old bicycle locomotive. Also transfer from the catford Branch were 3 Passengers cars. They were originaly from the Great Western Railway. Now the PGW 4-2-2 can run in style. Maybe it will be assign it to the Broadway limited. There are happy times again at the Frankford Roundhouse at Bergen Point. Hip-Hip-Horah, Hip-Hip-Horah, Hip-Hip-Horah!

Wow! I'm having Great Western envy...some of the most beautiful locomotives in the world. My little Bachmann Pannier tank gets the job done, though. Maybe I'll find money for a Hall class to accompany it one of these days. Wondering right now if I've got the Euros for one more Trenitalia coach before I leave Italy in a couple weeks

Love the roundhouse. Hope I have room for one like that someday.

It can be rung by a simple line, or a cable, like those on you bicycle to operate your brakes or gear shifter, a air operated device, a electricaly operated device, or the someone with a little hammer walking to the front pilot and hitting it with the hammer.

Yesterday I went to my son's home in Saylorsburg, Pa. It was my Granddaughters 7th Birthday. She is still a Princess at 7. Quite a young lady.
Now back to trains and layouts.
* This is a photo taken yesterday of my sons main engine facility. I am jealous. This is the view of the whole thing.

Ken you can see it has a new branch. It is working the Frankford, Stevensville Route.
Lot of passenger service. The right train at the right time. Still short of power for the big name trains.
