... however, since I decided to go with an Athearn SD45, I figured I'd better move it to the right forum.

Nice work! I like the color scheme. Although come to think of it, it's sort of ironic in a Union-blue meets Rebel-gray sense. Wouldn't expect to see that in the south!

SD45? Probably is! I've had that shell in storage for about 10 years. I've long since forgotten what model it is and the etching inside isn't helpful.
