Looks like a MarX F3 shell, a reworked Mantua Tyco MU2 powered front truck, a Model Power rear truck and an Athearn chassis. The piece of wire, at the fuel tank, goes through holes that normally has the motor mounts secured. Pop the top on that thing. Does it work?

| It's a cobjob. Varney did offer that scheme though. In fact it likely is a Varney, because the plastic F's of that era with a metal chassis, the potmetal chassis tended to swell, crack, and disintegrate with age, I have one here somewhere that suffers from that issue, it makes an okay display piece but I have to be careful to even handle it.

It looks like a Varney body, Athearn F7a frame, A tyco drive in the nose and a varney drive in the rear. frank
