I have a Model Power HO F7A diesel that runs nicely with the shell off & the same with shell on in a straight line. But in curves it makes a 'crackling' noise that sounds like rubbing on the shell somewhere, & it is amplified by the shell. I have checked the truck/shell clearances & can't find any static rubbing when I turn the trucks from side to side. Anyone had this before & figured out what it was? Thanks Tanked

If this is one of the Model Power dual drive locos, the universal shafts and sockets are a pretty sloppy fit, and tend to be noisy on curves, I quieted one down a great deal by lubricating the sockets with Teflon grease. Now the only noise comes from the motor.
Also be sure that the wiring is well out of the away of the shafts. The Tyco Depot
