This is my attempt at making a low nose, GP18 Norfolk Southern. This road existed until 1974 and was absorbed by Southern. I used the long hood from an AHM GP18 and the nose of a tyco GP20. Before you get excited that I'm hacking up tyco shells; The long hood of the GP20 is somewhat damaged.
The cab of the AHM unit was missing the roof and damaged. Not only that, the high nose of the GP18 is being grafted onto a tyco GP20 to make a high nose version of it! Hey, I'm a scrounge. I try to use all the parts I have.

Good start to a great sounding project. I have some photos of the original NS GP18s if you need them. I also have a spare GP18 shell if you need one with a complete cab assembly.
