A couple of Barracudas, a Polara, and a Super Bee...you like Mopar stuff, eh?
Cool cars Mike, those Johnny Lighning ones are awesome! I'll have to keep an eye out for them.

I was shocked at the detail of the Johnny Lightning cars. They even have redline tires...

How close to HO scale are they? I mean measured with dial caliper accuracy. How far off from 1/87? My brother and I are big Mopar fans. Just can't seem to find these particular model cars in HO. I am particularly interested in the Super Bee, since my brother used to own one..
Unspoken expectations are premeditated failures.

Hi Mike!
Hotwheels are a litle bit to big, as you found out!

the bus on the left is 1/87, Hotwheel, red MG 1/72, the (big) Opel is 1/87.

Good comparison Erich. But close enough for my world (layout) means a 99 cent vehicle compared to a $15 to $20 dollar 1/87 piece of plastic...
Although I do admire their work it is too rich for me...

I got these last year in a $1 bin. The store must have got a good price...

Erich, I cannot figure out how there are so many scales. I have built Airfix models at 1/72 and others and why would they not go 1/87?
I mean HO has been around since the 40's hasn't it?

Hi Mike!
1/72 (OO) is (or was, dont know) very popular in Great Brittain, they build
their trains in this scale. Airfix is from GB so the kits are 1/72.
HO:187, OO:1/72!

Thanks Erich, I often wondered. I knew Airfix was British. My son's are into military models and there seems to be alot of odd scales...
