My layout has been progressing quite nicely so far. It still has a lot of work to go yet, but here's some pictures of it so far(the black building is just a mock up):

Overview:

Right side siding (hopefully the future server of Ashland Steel):

Left side siding (hopefully the future server of a Caterpillar manufacturing plant and Black Coal Company):

Coal/Mineral unloader:

Left side shot:

inside the mountain (i haven't quite finished the track laying yet):

I love compicated wiring schemes!:

My new BN loco just came in!!

A little dusty, but it runs great!

Cool. Looks like a good solid platform. The track plan has plenty of switching possibilities. Thanks for the pics.

Wow, great snaps! The mountain rock rocks. You're a lot further along than I - the track planning stage still has me in its death grip.

Great seeing another continuous running layout taking shape because point to point layouts are just plain cruel. Keep us posted on your progress, Dorptrains.

Love the BN and the coal plant. Oh, and do I see a hint of Lionel O/O27 in the background? Another one of my endless interests is toy(-er than Tyco) trains...

You are correct DJdetrainman! Nice eye! It's the 1465 freight train set from my grandfather. Still runs great!
