That's incredible! He's got a few cool videos on there.

Speaking of long trains, just outta curiosity how many cars do you guys typically run on your trains? I know thats a loaded question since some of us have smaller layouts and others are more in switching, etc. Typically we run anywhere between 8-10 (caboose included). The tigher turns on alot of the layout really keeps us from going too much longer. But right now I think my friends two new metal train F7's are pulling around 12 cars just for kicks.

That sure took some effort to set up. The couplers toward the front near the locos would have a lot of stress on them a lot like 1:1 locos.

4 or 5, with caboose. Limited space, ya dig?

Sorry.

Yea , his other videos are pretty awesome too.

alco fan , I know a guy who runs 80 car trains on his layout and he would have to warm his train building up in the winter time before he could run stuff because the drawheads and couplers would break. He was using Mchenry couplers. Being Kadees are better quality they would hold up ten times better im sure.

I would have to say as long as the locomotives could pull it the train would be fine and not seperate. The only thing I would be concerned about is streamlining the cars.

Dang, and I thought *I* had a ton of freight cars....

Watching that guys other vids, he has more $ invested in autoracks alone than I have in my entire collection, I think...

Impressive. I've been wanting to do this on my 4x8 for fun. But it would be an all-day thing, requiring dedicated assistance. And most of my buddies would probably only help if they were drunk. Which would create its own special set of problems besides...
