I'm there baby! I'll be bringing my digital camera and 2GB of memory. If there is anything in particular you guys want photos of please post them here.
I haven't set the date yet, but my wife already knows that this WILL happen. [:D]

I am seriously considering this.
There is a jury out on 2 more of us. I am trying to get a "Meet-Up" at PHL or in Woodbury. Maybe we can all get the same hotel in Woodbury, and split a rental car for a few days.
Keep in touch- ThOR

I think a good photo documentation of the display would be excellent. For all those who are unable to attend, most of us, I would like to create a page on the TYCO Resource to show what was there.
Wished I could go!! [:D]

Crud... unless I misinterpreted thier hours, it looks like the only weekend they are open from now till the exhibit close is that sunday, the 28th - and I can't make it. The only possible time I could go would have been the weekends of the 13th and 20th. [V] I just can't miss any work during the week at this time.
(geez, what's with these small-town, bankers-hours museums, anyway? [:P] )

| Fortunately I'm able to make just about any date they're open. I agree, the hours stink. Most people I know work M,W,F between 1-4pm.

I wonder if they have dozens, or hundreds of items or just how big this display is. I wonder if they have a list of items displayed. This certianly is exciting news. Thanks GiC and ILB for the links.

The first article in the paper states: "Spread over two floors of the museum, the exhibit provides a history of Tyco trains"
The webpage of the museum says the pictures are just a small sample.
I'm thinking there's quite a bit there. Even if the museum were the size of my house, and I'm sure it's much larger, that would be quite a bit of history.

In that link that Iluvbudwsr posted, on the first pic on the left, those are two of Tyco's Talgos right? I wonder if they have any of the Canadian and Australian pieces?

| Yes, I spotted those myself, they are Talgos. I've seen one of the bluish ones before and asked some questions about it here.

| The most interesting one in there, to me, is the brown and ornage diesel. Almost evokes a Shark to me, but can't tell for sure. Never seen that one before, and it doesn't bring a prototype paint scheme immediately to mind either.

| It's January and you travelers need to get a date in mind. Like I posted earlier, I'm flexible. It's less than a 2 hour drive for me.

I will not be able to make it NYC. I have been laid off since November, and it looks like I will need to focus on a job for January.
If anything changes/breaks, I will certainly give you a heads-up.

Text of the article in case it disappears from the web.

Next Stop: Tyco, the current exhibit at the museum of the Gloucester County Historical Society in Woodbury, features a look at a holiday staple -- model railroading.
Spread over two floors of the museum, the exhibit provides a history of Tyco trains, which were manufactured in Woodbury Heights for more than half a century.
The exhibit includes three operational train layouts and an extensive collection of Tyco engines and rail cars. The items are from a large collection of Tyco trains and material donated to the society in 2004 by Lynne Swartz, the granddaughter of the company founder.
In addition, the museum is presenting a look at Gloucester County's railroad history, including a collection of postcards featuring rail stations in Woodbury, Pitman and Mount Royal.
Next Stop: Tyco will be the featured exhibit at the museum, located at 58 N. Broad St., through Jan. 28. Museum hours are 1 to 4 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday and 2 to 5 p.m. on Jan. 28. The museum is closed Christmas and New Year's Day. Admission is free for society members, $4 for adults and $1 for children. For information, call 848-8531.

Where is anything, even a brief reflection!? Where has all documentation of this thing ever having existed gone?!? I DEMAND ANSWERS NOW!!!!!

I think we were all excited to hear about this, and really talked it up, but no one actually went to it, at least no one that was here at the time.
